Paris and Brussels: The Foodie Edition

Breakfast: Le Pain Quotidien, Sablon, Brussels

Shopping for Champignons: Vismarkt, Brussels

Smoutebollen or Belgian doughnuts and other sweet stuff at the Christmas Market

Too busy eating and chatting to photograph much of the food but standouts were: the entire prix fixe Game Menu at Les Trois Chicons in Brussels, the Mont Blanc at Angeline on Rue Rivoli, Paris, the elegant Prawns in Green Curry Sauce at Pinxo, tiny Crevettes Grises and the Marmite des Poissons Le Grand Cafe Capucines, fresh oysters from Ireland with une coupe de champagne, a rustic baguette at the Gare du Nord, salads de mer and sud-ouest - all in Paris and the espresso and pie served when four of us gatecrashed Thanksgiving dinner chez des amis, Brussels.
